This is one of my favorite local lunch spots. My favorites are "The Godfather", "The Hit Man", Steak and Onions, and Sausage and Pepper Subs. They also have many Italian deli products available also which is rare down here. The family is very friendly and service is great.

I was super excited to try this deli as a native New Yorker. It's homey feel was nice - the Italian culture in the product was definitely evident. Although I did not try any of the fresh mozzarella, I'm sure it would have been good. My two subs (or hero's as they're called back home) were alright. The expectation for the chicken parm was probably a bit high - everything was pre-cooked, no oven, cheese was barely melted. The cold godfather hero was much better but a bit too oily. Sick to the cold sandwiches. Great bread.

Having lived in Philly, I know authentic Italian and this place fits the bill. Fresh meats and cheese on excellent bread. The owners have brought a taste of New York with them. I don't know how Subway survives when they have to compete with D'Aleo. Lots of imported food also.

Godfather all the way!!! The family that runs this place is awesome! There's always a friendly face serving a superb product. Far superior to any other sandwich shop. I always get the peppered turkey and my husband always gets the godfather. There's eggplant and veggies for the non-meat eaters out there , you can grab some fresh mozzarella and olive oil for a deal compared to the grocery store price as well.

I had no idea that there was a traditional Italian deli anywhere in NE FL. These are specialty shops, and people who are not used to quality imported Italian cold cuts and homemade pastas etc. may not appreciate how valuable and rare a place like this is. I remember the first time I ordered an "Italian" sub here in FL and the person taking the order simply confirmed with me, "Mustard and mayo?" I can't imagine anything less Italian. This place has hots and uses them. The provolone is stinky. The meats are salty, fatty, funky, and perfect. It was so good I had to try everything (meatballs, sausage, ravioli, and of course, the sauce)... it was all top notch. We are fortunate to have this place and I will make each visit an occasion!

First time here. Wife had an eggplant sub I had the sausage and peppers sub. Real nice fresh roll. They make the sausage in the restaurant and it was excellent as well as their tomato sauce Looking at the cold meat subs as they are delivered to the other tables they look like they have a nice portion of meats. I'll have to try that on out return visit. So a local family run place worth a try. It is a small place but clean and worth a visit.

Saw a write up in the Jacksonville Magazine October 2014. Hard to find a good sub sandwich and the travel was worth it. Ordered the Hit Man plenty of meat and seasoning was good. So far the best tasting sub in the Jacksonville area so far as Sub sandwiches go. Decent value.

Used to eat here all the time as a kid! The service is great, true Italians! Home made food, imported, real cheese and meats! My favorite was the Italian subs! Bread for it is amazing! It's in the food lion plaza behind mcdonalds just south of walmart! Deff worth your stop!

I've been going here for over a decade & every single time I go...its fantastic! The family is wonderful, funny, kind and take pride in their business. I love the quaint seating, the food is always amazing and they are so quick in getting your order finished. Im a huge fan of their hot roast beef sandwich....soooo delish!

UPDATE!!!!! Very disappointed. I guess I went here too much. My sandwich had less meat than normal, very soggy bread from over use of oil and vinegar. Not sure what happened but once the consistency stops, you loose my business. Will not be going back at all!!

I have eaten here for almost twenty years. Best subs in town. Owners off the boat from Italy. When I am in a pinch with guests or a party, I order a tray if their baked ziti or lasagna. I am a great cook, and very picky. Could not do it better myself, I hate to admit!! Try their house special or Godfather sub, very authentic. Their bread for the subs is AMAZING!! They have awesome deli meats and cheeses. You can buy imported olive oils, cheeses, olives, cookies, etc. I enjoy their home made authentic Italian cheesecake made with Ricotta cheese. You will not be disappointed. Not fancy inside, small family operation unchanged for the past 20 years. Total stability. Support your local small businesses!! Laurie D.
